People and Paperless Future for Organisations -- globalisation, social

Technology plays a major role in today’s organisations and offices, and has contributed positively to productivity and efficiency of businesses. Social media and globalisation may also have lead to an easier way of communication cross-culturally and making business with individuals and companies internationally. However, there is a concern that technology has gone so far that organisations and offices might become both paper and people less in the future. This paper will discuss and evaluate if there is a possibility for offices and organisations to be completely people and paper less in the future. The first part will define and explain the terms; globalisation, social media, office and organisation, the second will evaluate with the use organisational examples of which technology has changed the ways of interaction and services. The final part will include a conclusion and recommendations for the future. Globalisation can be defined as the following; â€Å"The process by which businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale† Globalisation is possible due to technological advances as the internet, smartphones, and computers and further back in time by improved vehicles and the ability to travel far distances, making the world smaller. However, part of globalisation is also traveling and social interaction amongst people’s cultures etc. One definition of social media can be websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking. The Count of Monte Cristo Character Analysis In the novel The Count of Monte Cristo, I read many events unfold. Edmond Dantes was a very happy and honest man. He has the perfect life, or so it seemed. On the day he was to be betrothed to Mercedes, three men tried to ruin his life. Dantes ended up in prison for fourteen years. Once he escaped prison, he sought revenge on those who lied to get him falsely accused of being a bonapartist agent. I think Edmond Dantes is the protagonist. He sees everyone for who they really are, he tries to get revenge while helping others, and he does not punish those who do not deserve it.People have many personalities, depending on who you are in the world; you might get treated better or worse. It’s all about rank, if someone have something someone else wants, chances are, he/she will not get treated fairly. When everyone else was keeping secrets, Edmund knew exactly what was going on. Edmund saw that the three men were trying to ruin him; there fore, he did to them what was done to him. â€Å"I†¦ have been taken by Satan into the highest mountain in the earth, and when there he†¦ said he to me, ‘Child of earth, what wouldst thou have to make the adore me? †¦ I replied, ‘Listen†¦ I wish to be Providence myself for I feel the most beautiful, noblest, most sublime thing in the world, is to recompense and punish. ’† (Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo) Edmund finally saw what he had they wanted, he would have had a beautiful wife and was about to get a great job. Revenge is not always the answer, but sometimes as people, we are left with no choice. Monte Cristo seeks revenge but he does not let the revenge blind him. While Monte Cristo was avenging his false accusation, he did not just hurt people, he also helped them.When Madame d’Villefort and her son Edward were in a carriage, it was being pulled by two â€Å"wild† horses. The carriage was out of control so Monte Cris to had his servant stop the carriage. Albert de Morcerf got captured by Luigi Vampa, a Roman bandit, and Monte Cristo saves Albert de Morcerf from getting killed. Monte Cristo did admit to going a little too far though. â€Å"He felt he has passed beyond the bounds of vengeance and that he could no longer say, ‘God is for and with me. ’† (Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo) Monte Cristo did not punish those who did not deserve to be punished.Monte Cristo is somewhat a fair person, he spares quite a few lives. When he was supposed to fight Albert to the death, he spared his life because Mercedes asked him to spare her son’s life. He almost caused the death of Valentine but then saved her from having to marry someone she did not love. One Monte Cristo reunites Valentine and Maximillian, they are happy because they van finally be together at last. â€Å"There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, n othing more.He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. † (Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo) Monte Cristo sought revenge because he was imprisoned for no reason, at all. Revenge is not always okay, but if someone hurts someone else that bad, it is very much needed. Everything happens for a reason and people cannot just hurt eachother and expect everything to be all rainbows and butterflies. There were three antagonists in this novel, and Edmund Dantes is not one of them. How would other people act if they got arrested and put in prison for no reason?

â€Å"A Worn Path† by Eudora Welty, is the tale of an elderly black woman who shows an enormous amount of determination when it comes to helping her unceasingly ill grandson. Phoenix Jackson is the main character in Welty’s â€Å"A Worn Path.† Throughout the story, Miss Phoenix Jackson travels the same path every day overcoming whatever obstacles she encounters as she strives along the path in the contribution of her grandson’s health, for he is whom Phoenix habitually travels this â€Å"worn path.† Furthermore, the story must be noted for its simplicity, and vast metaphoric symbolism. Welty uses the path and its obstacles as a form of inspirational aura, one could even say the path is a mirrored image of the difficulties one endures throughout†¦show more content†¦Moving on, on a daily basis people all around the world travel the treacherous journey down life’s path, each individual grasping to hope and utter determination, in-turn battling to prevail over whatever obstacles stand in the path between them and their aspirations. Furthermore, Phoenix Jackson represents the notion that with hope, a cause, dedication to that cause, and finally good work ethic, any individual in spite of their physical and mental attributes, can conquer life’s obstacles, and successively prevail in reaching their ultimate goals. Welty depicts this notion through the main character, whom which despite the frequent immovable obstacles standing in her path, shows immense will p ower, high hopes, and sheer determination, which in essence, allows Phoenix to march onward despite life’s frequent difficulties. Difficulties like natural aging and the consequences which coincide, natural hindrances which are presented by ones surroundings, as well as a sociological barrier many may recognize as stereotyping. Throughout life every individual must confront the physical as well as the mental setbacks that result from aging. Moreover, the individual must succumb to these setbacks in order to ultimately prevail, conquering his or her primary aspirations. Furthermore, despite age, many individuals must keep trekking in order to provide for their families.
